My name is Steve. Check out my intro video below if you like. You might know me from one of my other sites, NoHireNeeded.com or SoloMoneyStack.com. I started Bot and Bull because I was tired of trading-bot content that was all hype and no receipts. So I built one in the open, no coding background, small budget, and I show the whole thing: the strategy, the tools, the trades, and the bugs I had to fix along the way.
Who Bot and Bull is for
If you have ever wanted to build an automated trading bot but assumed you needed a finance degree or years of coding, this site is for you. Bot and Bull is for beginners and self-directed traders who would rather build and understand their own tools than buy a black box. I started with no coding background, and everything here is written so you can follow along and do the same.
The stack behind building an automated trading bot
A working trading bot comes down to five layers. Get these right and the rest is detail:
- Broker — an API-first brokerage to place the trades.
- Server — a cloud host so the bot runs 24/7 when your laptop is closed.
- Charting — tools to study setups and screen the market.
- Market data — the price and fundamentals that feed the logic.
- Monitoring — a clean way to connect and watch it from anywhere.
