About Bot and Bull: Who We Are And How It all Started
Welcome to the About Bot and Bull page. This is the story of how an everyday person built an automated stock trading bot from scratch, and why the whole journey is documented in public for you to follow.
How We Started
Bot and Bull was started by someone who is not a Wall Street insider, not a software engineer, and definitely not a finance guru.
Just an everyday person who got tired of watching stocks go up and down while doing nothing about it, and decided to figure out a better way.
After discovering that automated trading bots were not just for hedge funds and tech companies, I built one from scratch using a $6 per month server, a free Robinhood account, and a lot of trial and error. Today that bot runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, scanning stocks and crypto, entering trades when momentum signals line up, and cutting losses automatically before they get out of hand.
Bot and Bull exists to document that journey and show you exactly how to do the same thing.
No fluff. No get rich quick promises. Just real systems, real results, and honest breakdowns of what works and what does not.

Why I Build in Public
Most trading content online is a highlight reel. You see the winning screenshots and never the blown up accounts, the bugs that fired orders at the wrong time, or the weeks the bot sat on its hands and bought nothing. Bot and Bull is the opposite of that. Every step of this build is documented in the open, including the mistakes, because the mistakes are where the real lessons live. If a strategy tweak backfires, you will read about it here. If a piece of code costs me money, I will show you the fix. Building in public keeps me honest and gives you a real map instead of a sales pitch.
What Makes Bot and Bull Different
There are plenty of places that will sell you a guaranteed bot or a signal service for a monthly fee. This is not one of them. Everything here runs on tools a regular person can actually afford: a small cloud server, a free brokerage account, and code, written in Python, that you can read and change yourself. I am not a developer by trade and I did not start with a finance background, which means nothing here assumes you already know how any of this works. If I had to learn it the hard way, I explain it the plain way, so you can skip the parts that cost me time and money.
Where This Is Headed
The long term goal is simple. Take a strategy that started as a rough idea, harden it into something that runs on its own, and share the whole playbook so you can build your own version with confidence.
